Product Details
Those looking for a single dome camera to cover a large area in super high resolution over a network will find the AV8180 from Arecont Vision to be the perfect solution. Arranged in each direction of the dome are four cameras, each equipped with a 2 megapixel imager. With each camera covering a 45° viewing angle, this dome provides 180° view of an area. Consequently, a single AV8180 can be used to cover an area normally requiring the installation of up to 24 analog cameras, making it a huge time and cost saver.

180° Panoramic View (4 x 45° Viewing Angle)
Looking out from each direction of the dome are four 2 megapixel cameras, each covering a 45° viewing angle. Together, these cameras provides a 180° panoramic view of an area. This allows the use of a single camera to cover an area normally requiring the installation of many analog fixed cameras.
Electronic PTZ Operation
Because video originates at such a high resolution, image quality is maintained even under extreme magnification. Consequently, a user can zoom in closely on a subject without losing any detail. Furthermore, magnified images can be moved from side to side as well as up and down, providing a user with virtual PTZ operation.
ROI (Region of Interest)
ROI allows a selected portion of the image to record at a higher resolution than the surrounding area. By recording only important sections in high resolution, ROI keeps file sizes small, saving storage space and maximizing a network's bandwidth capacity. Four areas of an image can be selected for ROI, with each region independently adjustable for resolution and compression rates.
PoE (Power over Ethernet)
PoE uses the standard Ethernet cable to transmit power to the camera. By having a single cable delivering both data and power to the camera, POE allows the camera to be placed in areas with no direct access to an AC outlet and will also keep the camera operating in the event of a localized power failure.
