The Arecont Vision AV3130M adopts an ingenious method to provide the ultimate in Day/Night operation. The camera is equipped with two megapixel imagers; one color, one B/W. Instead of using a removable IR cut filter for Day/Night operation the way conventional cameras do, the AV3130M auto switches from the 3 MP color imager to the ultra sensitive 1.3 MP B/W imager when light levels fall. This results in image quality far superior to anything the best analog Day/Night camera can achieve.

 

2-Imager Day/Night Operation

The AV3130M is equipped with two imagers; one 3 megapixel color and one 1.3 megapixel B/W. When light levels fall, the camera uses DualBand technology to seamlessly switch from the color imager to the ultra sensitive B/W imager, resulting in image quality far superior to anything a conventional Day/Night camera can achieve.

Ultra High Resolution Images

Utilizing massively-parallel MegaVideo technology, this camera is capable of delivering cinema quality video with the sharpness and color accuracy normally associated with digital still cameras. Video is captured at a resolution of up to 1920 x 1200 and at speeds up to 30 FPS, resulting in images 10 times the resolution of the best analog CCTV camera.

Major Cost Saver

The key advantage to having a camera with such high resolution is the ability to greatly magnify a picture without suffering image degradation common to standard resolution cameras. This allows the use of a single camera to monitor an area normally requiring up to 10 analog fixed cameras.

Simultaneous Viewing of Full Field and Zoomed Images (PIP)

Working from a networked PC, a user can enlarge any selected area of the image in order to bring a person or object into close view. This magnified image is superimposed over the full image in PIP fashion. By recording the original image in super high resolution, this camera is capable of maintaining well defined images even under extreme digital magnification.

PoE (Power over Ethernet)

When used together with a PoE switch, this camera can be powered solely by its Ethernet cable. By using the same cable to transmit both data and power to the camera, this camera can be installed in areas inaccessible to a power outlet such as inside an outdoor housing or close to a ceiling. PoE also provides fail safe operation by having the ability to keep the camera operating in the event of a localized power failure.

Built-In Motion Detection & Alarm I/O Ports

Built into the camera is a motion detection function adjustable for size and sensitivity and programmable for 64 separate zones. Additionally, this camera accepts a number of external sensors to trigger an alarm alert or to activate a device following an alarm event.
